Before I knew that spineless varieties of squash existed, I stocked up on seeds for these fast-growing and reportedly prolific round zucchinis.
Since this is a bush rather than a vine, the little round squash pokes up from low on the plant. I started these indoors in water and moved them into dirt when they started blooming. After coming out of the water they need a few days to harden off before going outdoors, especially in really hot weather.
This has a 45 day maturity.
To get an idea of the size, here it is posing with some red cherry and yellow pear tomatoes, a small spaghetti squash and a Bush Baby zucchini which I blogged about here.
