A friend has decided to teach me how to play golf.
This is very brave of him, because on one of our first sessions I sent the ball sailing off into the sky and hit a blackbird. This bird was not flying over the fairway. My ball landed in the rough. I did not see where the feathers fell as I was watching the bird, which kept flying on as if nothing happened.
Better thatbird than window glass on a neighbors housem don't you think?
I lost two balls in the duck pond already, but have not yet hit any ducks.
Since I have a newbie's tendancy to send the balls off into strange places, I decided to order some brightly colored golf balls. My pink golf balls will be distinguishable from all the other lost ones.
I sent away for some neon colored tees too, but then got to thinking, why don't I just paint my own? In the meantime I am just drawing cat faces on mine with a marking pen.
A Google image search turns up some colorful designs that other people have done.
