Add another wonderful thing to the list of stuff you can do in cyberspace. Now while shopping for eyeglasses online you can choose a face that resembles your own (or upload a photo of yourself) and then "try on" the eyeglass frames you like to see how they look on you.
I like that WAY better than going into a store, and I also like the better pricing one can get online. This is a photo of some frames I was looking at over at Zenni Optical:
I have written about Zenni before because I really like the way you can conveniently shop for quality eyeglasses online and get great savings over store prices, but this feature is new. You can see what a pair of prescription eyeglasses from Zenni Optical would look like on you by going to their web site.
People who know me say that it is an understatement to call me frugal, and an illustration of why is the way I chose my last pair of frames. I decided that I would keep them for a very long time as they were expensive titanium frames, so I chose silver color so that if my hair turned gray they would match. But hey, it didn't and do you know, I am getting really tired of these silver frames. I am thinking of trying red ones. Not fire engine red, but something subtle that would go with anything.
Even so, with all the free add-ons they throw in, Zenni makes me think I can afford more than one pair of glasses.
