This plant does very well in the AeroGarden and the tender young leaves are a colorful and tasty addition to a salad. However, when I take it out and try to grow it in a side container, it starts looking a little weedy. I think that like the purslane, this plant needs more aeration than my once-a-day manual draining allows. But I left a plant out to see if it would produce seeds, and the result was interesting:
The pods are still green, but the lower leaves are turning red.
