I stopped pulling weeds out of the sidewalk long enough to take a picture of my color changing solar light:
It has been raining too much to leave it out, so I put it on the porch for the time being. It doesn't get enough sunlight there to charge, so I have it switched off until the sun comes out again. Spiderettes from my huge spider plant are rooting in the tray and to the left are a handful of weeds. Everyone around here uses Round-Up but me, but I have the advantage of no dirt on the ground. Before I moved in, the manager of our complex put a thick plastic weed barrier on top of the soil and then brought crushed rock in to spread over that. So all but two of my plants are either in raised planters or in ground pot-in-pot.
So far, that little handful of weeds I tossed on the table in the top photo was about all there were.
Here is one of two plumbago clones that I rooted from cuttings in July and decided to put in the ground:
I was going to put a blue lantana here, but the plumbago leaves are not as prickly, and the flowers are just as pretty.
