PeopleString and PeoplePoints

I signed up for PeopleString a few months ago and then pretty much forgot about it, but they have made some interesting improvements and when I went to check them out, it was a nice surprise to see a little cash still on account there, and when I played their Prizewheel game it was fun to win a dollar.  I haven't won $500 yet, but I saw for myself that in addition to PeoplePoints, the game does pay real money. 

One of the improvements is what they call a Portal, which  makes it easier and more fun to use PeopleString as a home page.  There is no activity requirement for PeopleString, so when I am busy I stay away, but when I have time here are the things I do to earn lots of points in order to be eligible for their profit sharing plan.

I log in (10 points) and check my e-mail (10 points) and look at some offers on their shopping portal (10).  Then I use the search bar on the portal to look up some things on Google, something I spend quite a bit of time doing anyway, but when I search from within PeopleString, I get paid for my time, whereas when I just use my browser's search all I get is the information.   Yesterday my account was credited 47 cents for my searches and using the search bar also earns 10 points.  Next, I play 3 of the PeopleString games:  Prize Wheel (available once a day plus 1 more for each new referral -- the most I have earned so far on one spin is $1 but I have always gotten at least 20 points for spinning), Guess which hand (I am a pretty good guesser and this is available every half hour for 20 points each correct guess), and then the Lotto which recently gave me 500 points and is available twice a day.  I only have 3 referrals so far, but I will get 10% of whatever they earn, too. 

So you can see it is pretty easy to earn at least 100 points a day (that is 3000 points a month) just by logging on and clicking around a bit.  No upgrade is necessary to earn on this site, and even without any referrals it is possible to earn a little Lunch Money without much effort.

I highly recommend PeopleString for people just starting to learn about ways to earn money online.

Some years back I was doing an online search for pictures of teddy bears when I managed to fall down the rabbit hole, in a manner of speaking. I'd been mucking about with computers for many years before encountering what most people simply call "Paid To" with all the acronyms such as PTC (Paid to Click), PTR (Paid to Read), and my favorite PTW (Paid to Write).

The Paid To programs advertise with something called banner ads. This is one of the first ones I designed:

Don't click on that one, as it is not "live" but the idea is you link it to a web page somewhere and then whoever clicks on it falls into the rabbit hole, too, and every time somebody clicks you earn a little money.   Well!   Before the fall, I was just poking around and accidentally clicked a banner that for some reason had a little payout associated with it...four cents, if I recall correctly.   What a scam, I thought!  They lure you in here with the eye candy, and then start feeding you pennies to keep your attention.  Hah!  I'll investigate this phenomenon, I said, and started researching the Paid To Industry.  Sure, there are some nasty criminals doing ugly stuff online, but to my great surprise, I learned that some of the Paid To programs are clean and honest and fun, not to mention their earning potential. 

Like anywhere else in the world, some of the places in cyberspace are scams but some are not.  I've made a bit of a hobby searching out the ones that are not, and turned it into a little business (I guess that is what you call it when you reach the point where you have to pay taxes on your earnings :-)

I first learned about the PTW program called IM Report Card on a social networking site  called mylot.  You can Join myLot here!

The first thing I bought with my MyLot earnings was a software application called Watermark Factory 2, which is use to put my copyright information on photos I've taken and posted online.  Here is a sample:

 

I love taking pictures of my shadow, and yes, that is me standing behind the railing at the top left.  looking out toward the Pier in Ventura, CA.   It was a perfect day to visit the ocean.
