I was lucky to have been able to catch this egret almost in flight.

I enjoyed looking at your info from previous years. Was at the airgardens spot n linked in to here. Anyways, I've grown date palm trees from seed at an altitude of near 6000ft but they do NOT live outdoors. I know they wouldn't survive. And originally the idea was sort of like bonsai but I can't torture plants like that. After 10 yrs, they are still pretty short because they don't get a lot of transplanting. BTW, they really do propagate faster in towel n ziplock, but they still take a lot of sun n time to grow. What I really liked looking at was your pics of plants grown hydroponically. So encouraging for us novices who aren't into high cost/maintenence. Very interesting stuff/ideas here. Thanks!
