Autumn is my favorite time of year and Halloween is my favorite holiday. Let's see, where is that nursing scrub I bought with the teddy bears in purple ghost costumes? I like Halloween decorations all year round. That is why a delightful witch hangs in my kitchen year-round. She shares the space with a Chantilly Lace bear named Auntie Pasta who wears a red chef's hat and sings the pasta fazool song -- That's Amore.
My favorite Halloween Decorations can be found right on my hands...in the form of glow in the dark nail polish. I wear it year round too, but it is difficult to find this necessary cosmetic in the stores except in autumn, so I have to stock up on it. Last year Walgreens had really special glow in the dark nail polish in RIP bottles with tombstone shaped caps. Delightful. I bought lots of them. I'm a sucker for that sort of thing and also bought the glow in the dark foaming hand soap in the haunted house pump dispensor.
The only other critter (besides plants!) in my kitchen is a bear I call Chef Cookie which came from the CIA (Cullinary Institute of America) gift shop. I love that place! Autumn is a good time to tour Napa County and visit the CIA, along with other attractions in that area.
