Going Miles for Smiles

I don't get to Texas too often, but if did, I would go a bit out of my way to check out these folks:

South Austin Dentist

In addition to having a classy web site and cool equipment (take a look at their  intraoral camera!), the profiles of the dentists make them sound really cool.  I especially like that two out of three of the dentists there are women.    But if I were in the area and had a dental emergency, I would ask for Dr. Jackson Booth.  Why?  Because you just have to like a dentist who graduated from West Point.  

A kid I used to go to school with was invited to audition for West Point.  I think it was for the band or something, because they paid his way.  But he came back disappointed, and the story was that he flunked the physical because his teeth weren't good enough.  I don't know if that was true or not, but ever since then I have always had this image of West Point guys as having perfect teeth. 

Another thing I admire about Southpark Smiles Dental practice is that they are very upfront about liking children.  I assume that if they are good with kids, they will good with me, too, especially when I get into my second childhood.

By the way, this is a paid post, and one of the most refreshing things about the assignment was that under Requirements all they said was "have fun...!"  I did!
