Yes, I went into the Godiva chocolate shop at Desert Hills Premium Outlets next to the Morongo. They had last year's gift teddy bears on sale for $18. The handsome teddy holds a 4-truffle box of candy in its lap. Of course the main attraction was dark chocolate covered strawberries at $6.50 a pop.
One of the eateries in the resort casino had smaller ones for $2, but I was able to resist those, too.

It was a sunny day in December, though, and quite pleasant to walk through this gigantic mall and watch all the people buying stuff. In fact, judging from the full parking lot and all the huge bags people were carrying back to their cars, there must be no recession here.
