It is a pleasant drive through the wind farms along I10 in Southern California. A bit before Palm Springs there is a casino nestled between the mountains that sort of sprung up like a mushroom about five years ago.
It is pricey, but very comfortable, so when I learned they were offering an anniversary special, I bit:
Looks like something from outer space, doesn't it?
They have a really nice bowling alley on the property, too, and you get a two-for-one with the room rental.
The rooms have a lot of furniture. Desk space is plentiful and the seating is comfortable. So are the beds.
The bathrooms are all glass and tile, with twigs encased in the translucent window that makes up one wall. I like that.
