When I first went in search of my current web hosting plan, I didn't properly know what one was. It was therefore vital not only that I find a good price and competent hosting, but also great service with a little of the milk of human kindness thrown in. So resources such as this one were crucial to my investigation:
The plan I have been using for years now is listed as number 5, and it still has almost all of its 5 stars. It is good to see that, as I have been really happy with them.
There are quite a few people on the net who would like to give us advice about who to pay to provide us with domains and home pages and all that good stuff that gives us a presence on the web. Some of them address speed and ease of use and service as well as price.
Web Hosting Geeks is a little different. Their home page is very well organized, but there are many extras. For instance, they have really interesting articles posted on their blog. Here is an example:
Before a whole lot of famous people started using Twitter to communicate with their adoring fans I added Twitter to my sidebar, but had to take it down again because it hung up the pages...to many issues, too bad! So these issues are of interest to me and I could get lost for hours just reading and learning from this kind of resource. Making this kind of information accessible inevitably causes me to remember the days when one had to be something of a UNIX guru to do much of anything geekish. I've never lost interest in UNIX, and was pleased to see it mentioned in the well-written Web Hosting Geeks blog:
Things to Look for in a UNIX Hosting Platform
Not only do I highly recommend Web Hosting Geeks as a resource, I think I will toddle off now and subscribe to their blog feed.
