I'm not a big cucumber fan, but I LOVE pickles :)
It's so nice to see something growing...it's -20 degrees outside and snow everywhere the past few days.

Brrr! Even sunny California is too cool for me in the "winter" so the cukes and I agree that today's 75% is our kind of weather.

I love cucs. What variety are you growing? The only kind I can do indoors is called "Salad Bush". Any other variety gets too big.

Red, the one pictured is a Sumter and I am also growing miniature whites. Both are quite manageable in size and make attractive and interesting houseplants, in my opinion. Will post new photos when I get back home, especially ones showing the results of subjecting them to extreme neglect...grimace.
This summer or fall I will try one called Cool Breeze from Reimer Seeds, which will not require pollination:

If they get big I just wind them into a coil like the vining tomatoes. It was such a revelation when I learned that works, as one variety I am growing was so leggy. Now it is like a little ferris wheel, with fruit hanging everywhere.
