We got a pretty good deal on a hydroponics wand at eBay today. This device is not necessary for AeroGarden growers using the company's seed kits, but if we want to grow our own out on the sunny patio where we can dispense with the grow light, we need a way to test the conductivity and saturation of the water. So we ordered the Truncheon as it turns itself on and off automatically and doesn't need calibrating. It measures electrical conductivity and pH and the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) so that should keep the little nippers from getting too salty.
This Purple Hot Pepper plant came from an AeroGrow kit, and was planted on May 17. It started flowering just one month after we plopped the seed kit into the grow hole.
