A buddy on the paid-to-write social networking program myLot told me about Twitter, or I might not have tried it, but with a name like that who could resist.
Twitter is a micro blogging utility that helps people be more connected or more confused, depending on your point of view. People seem to love it or hate it and the jury is still out as to which camp I am in. But since my maxim is don't knock it until you have tried it, and it is free, well, why not?
So I put it on the sidebar of this blog and liked it well enough, but eventually discovered that when the Twitter web site got overloaded, it brought my blog to a screeching halt. Whereas, my pages had been loading beautifully, when Twitter hung up, they hung up with it. There is a fix for that somewhere online, but for now, I will just keep my free Twitter account, but disable the widget. Fair enough?
