Aside from having male flowers that are colorful and tasty in a salad, my Sumter cucumber has finally produced a handful of female flowers, about five of whom I believe I may have successfully hand-pollinated.
Time will tell, but this small fruit seems to be growing day by day. Shown below at 3/4" and again a little over 1" long.

Having found last winter that it is possible to grow cucumbers in an AeroGarden if one manually adjusts the light cycle and that if sort of kept in limbo the plants will just keep producing beautiful and delicious male flowers, I filled an AG Deluxe (7 grow holes) with miniature white cucumber seedlings on September 28, 2009. I sprouted them in a hemp bag and then used open cell A/C foam to encase the stems after they took root. This is cheaper than using the AeroGrow foam plugs which I am not sure they sell anymore anyway.
The first male flower peeked out on November 7, 2009, but many buds are set to follow:
